Lesson on Stress

The lesson on Monday and Tuesday (Jan 21 & 22) explored the concept of stress – what it is, what it may look, feel like, and sound like, what are the series of changes that occur in the body when a person perceives stress, what may be triggers or causes of stress for individuals, and what are some healthy ways, short- and long-term, to cope with and manage negative stress. Ms. Lockwood also brought a pressure cooker into class and had students think about the ways in which this item relates to the lesson topic. Please read and/or complete: Negative Stress Y-ChartKey Definitions; Stressors Check List; General Adaptation Syndrome; and My Five Stress Management Techniques. The HW is the Sleep Reflection Assignment (also posted to the Google HW calendar).
